Style Coverage - Oscars 2011

While most people couldn't wait to see who won, I was more interested in who wore WHOM.
In fact, I couldn't even completely concentrate on my Mathematics paper. Let me say, it was worth it.The night was filled with beautiful women dressed in the most amazing dresses I have ever come across.

Here is my list of the best and the worst dressed celebrities. Amy Adams owned the night in her sparkly midnight blue column from L'Wren Scott's fall 2011 collection paired with Cartier Jewels whereas Helena Bonham Carter let us down with a hideous Coleen Atwood dress.

Here are a few tips for dressing up appropriately to create a lasting impression on the interviewer.
TIPS-
1) Wear decent and professional looking clothes. Do not show too much skin. That means absolutely no show of  cleavage and no mini-skirts or mini-dresses.
2) Stick to formal shirts, Chic Blazers and smart pants with sharp cuts. Or you can go for a formal knee length dress with minimal details.
3) Do not wear tight clothes and stick to elegant fabrics. Also remember, NO embellishments or bright colours. Stick to shades of white, coral, black, navy blue, light pink, camel etc
3) It is okay to wear high heeled pumps but make sure you can walk comfortably and do not trip. Make sure your shoes spell business and not raw hollywood glamour.
4) Stick to minimal accessories. A smart watch, a pair of small diamond earrings and a normal sized black leather bag is all you need.
5) During the interview, place your bag on the ground and NOT on your lap. It portrays you as a fuss free organized women.
6) Lastly, make sure your documents are well organized, greet the interviewers with a big smile and be confident.

Style Spotlight - Naeem Khan's Fall 2011 RTW collection

Naeem Khan's Fall 2011 RTW collection is an absolute stunner. You can tell it's a Naeem Khan show by the gorgeous fabrics and beautiful embellishments which are sewn by hand. "I thought about the women who wear my clothes," he said backstage before the show. "They are powerful." 
These dresses are totally worthy of wearing to the red carpet awards. In fact, I expect to see celebrities wearing these pieces of art for the upcoming Academy Awards better known as the 'Oscars'.
Elegant, flowy and regal- this collection is spot on! And the timeline couldn't be better.

At the 2011 Brit Awards, She was one of the best dressed ladies in the floral and turquoise tulle gown. The feminine dress blended right in with her edgy and wild attitude. Smoked eyes, bronzed lips and sleek red hair added to the overall look.
